These square matchboxes are made by British makers Archivist Gallery, known for their beautifully illustrated, letterpress-printed matchboxes. The Mermaid design has that wonderfully nostalgic seaside feeling that makes it just as nice left out on the coffee table as it is tucked away with the candles.

Inside are 125 long safety matches, each 100mm, with natural wooden stems and red tips.
