The Gridded Logbook

Some people make sense of a place by drawing it. Others fill a page with whatever they happened to find along the way: a ticket, a shell card, a scribbled note, a map, a photograph, a pressed leaf or something they picked up and couldn't bear to throw away. Sometimes a page needs lines. Sometimes it just needs somewhere to put things.

The Gridded Logbook is deliberately open-ended. There are no sections telling you what to record or where to put it. Just a grid, edge to edge, page after page, ready for whatever you need it to be.

Sketch what you saw. Map where you were. Stick in a postcard. Tape in a photograph. Record a favourite fishing spot, draw the reef from memory, plan a trip, press a little piece of something between the pages or make a messy collection of everything that happened that day.

It's part sketchbook, part field journal, part scrapbook and part junk journal. A place for the things that don't fit neatly anywhere else.

It works beautifully alongside the Two-Year Logbook if you want one book for structured records and another for everything else, but it's just as useful on its own.
